T-41 activated bleaching clay is used as a scrub (prior to the distillation process) or bleaching distillate clay as it is an acid activated bentonite clay. It contains approximately 10% carbon and has a low pH. T-41 clay has a consistent particle size and a good flow rate. It is used during oil purification, distillation prep, pesticide removal, product improvement (odor removal), and removes colors and other impurities more aggressively than other media. When paired with Carbon Chemistry MagSil PR it is effective for pesticide remediation.
